Our Story

We are a family-run company that was founded in 1957 with the vision that pre-moistened wet wipes were the optimal delivery system for both consumers and healthcare organizations. Our product portfolio covers cosmetics, personal hygiene, sanitization and disinfection, medical devices and over-the-counter (OTC). Each year, our 2.5 million square feet of manufacturing and distribution space delivers over 125 billion pre-moistened wipes. We invest heavily in capacity and our newest line produces over 50,000 wipes per minute. Over 2,800 associates work across 8 facilities including our newest site: a 28,000 square foot state-of-the-art Innovation Center staffed by over 60 research associates. Product and process improvement is at the heart of what we do every day.

At PDI, we're experts in every step from development to delivery and offer turnkey solutions, whether it's an over-the-counter drug (OTC), cosmetic, medical device, feminine, disinfectant, sanitizing or other specialty wipe. Our customers and their products benefit from our new Innovation Center, multi-million dollar water purification systems, in-house liquid compounding, validation services and our high technology analytical and microbiological testing and quality laboratories. These are just some of the services we provide to make the development and launch process as easy as possible.

Our Future

At PDI, we have a fundamental belief that there is nothing we are doing today that we cannot be doing better tomorrow. The PDI Operations team is focused on creating a safe workplace environment that promotes operational excellence, organizational effectiveness, maximized plant utilization and a quality at the source culture.

Our commitment to continuous improvement includes an obligation to the environment. Eco-Friendly and Green are more than words to us; they are actionable items and pursued every day. Our supply chain group searches worldwide for materials and components that have a minimal impact on our Earth’s resources. Where applicable we use renewable, sustainable, and recycled materials. Our manufacturing locations employ lean techniques to minimize energy use and decrease waste. Our strong sustainability programs include zero landfill manufacturing plants, energy audits, and efficiency programs. At our New York facility we utilize all LED lighting and we most recently installed solar panels on the roof. Additional programs are either in-process or under-study.

We know that our future as a Contract Manufacturer is dependent upon our customers’ success. Our role and responsibility as a chosen manufacturing partner is one we take on with a deep commitment to the program and fueled with the same enthusiasm we first brought to the market almost 60 years ago.
